Half-Life: Counter-Strike

General

On November 1 2004, after Valve's legal dispute with Vivendi and the consequent discontinuation of the Half-Life series under the Sierra brand, Valve remade Counter-Strike with their new Source engine, used for Half-Life 2. The game was named Counter-Strike: Source (without "Half-Life" in the title). It features largely the same game play, altered maps, some new maps and, of course, enhanced graphics.
