Following the Activision-Blizzard merger in 2008, the IP of World in Conflict was acquired by Ubisoft, which in 2009 released an expansion pack, World In Conflict: Soviet Assault, as well as World In Conflict: Complete Edition, containing both World In Conflict and its expansion pack.
