Note: This game can only be played with animated opponents (not their icons or the business opponents).
Objective
The objective of Old Maid is to avoid being turned into a Troll. There is one special card in the deck which is the Troll card. This special card is added to the deck, thus creating a 53 card deck. To begin the game, all cards are dealt. Next, players must remove all pairs from their hands. After each player has done this, the play begins with the player on the left of the dealer.
Each turn, the current player must choose one card from the hand of the player on his right and place that card into his own hand. If the card that was chosen creates a pair in his hand, he removes the pair from his hand. Whether or not the new card forms a pair, the next player now plays (unless a player has just removed the last two cards in his hands, so the next player can't pull a card and has to pass for one turn). This continues until all pairs have been removed and only the Troll card remains. The person holding the Troll card loses and the other three players win.
Options
You can choose to remove pairs automatically (default setting, simply click the "Remove pairs" button) or manually. When doing it manually, you must find the pairs in your hand, place them into a tray and then press the tray's "ok" button. Make sure not to overlook any pairs when using the manual option.
Scoring
As players loose games, they'll gradually turn into an old maid (including you, try it out to see the game screen change). The first player to loose three times turns entirely into the Old Maid, ending the game.
